The company was founded in 1966 by Michael A Russo, a Plumbing & Heating contractor from Montclair, N.J.. The company started as "Michael A. Russo Plumbing & Heating Inc." and initially provided Plumbing Fixture setting, Trim-out work and Heating for new home plumbing contractors in Essex County. The company also provided Plumbing and Heating services for residential and commercial customers in Essex and Morris Counties.
In the late 1970's, Louis Neri started to work summers and weekends for the company as a Journeyman/Apprentice Plumber. After completing a four year night school apprenticeship at Passaic County Technical School, Mr. Neri received his New Jersey State Plumbers license #6992.
In the early 1980’s, the company was faced with the challenge of the untimely passing of Michael A, Russo. The next generation of leadership of the company was determined to continue with the principles of expert craftsmanship, honesty and integrity that Michael Russo instilled in the company culture.
Louis Neri, became CEO of the company and forged ahead expanding the business through several acquisitions and added many innovative ideas to the company.
In 1986 the company’s name was changed from Michael A. Russo Plumbing & Heating Inc. to "Neri & Russo Plumbing & Heating Inc.”. The new name was created to show respect for the initial owner of the company, Michael A. Russo and to honor the new owner, Louis Neri.
In the 1990's, Louis Neri continued to expand the company by marketing and packaging coordinated services for Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning and by Expanding into Water Treatment and Water Filtration Services.
In 2003, the company made an acquisition of Central Air Systems Inc. in order to help grow the HVAC division and to help meet the growing demands of our customers.
In 2008 we changed the company name to Neri & Russo Services LLC to better reflect the scope of services the company now provides.
Today, Neri & Russo Services LLC is a full-service company servicing most major home systems in our customer’s homes and businesses. Our dedication and commitment to training our team of technicians shows in our latest honors from the Rinnai Corporation recognizing Neri and Russo Services as the 2010 Authorized Service Provider of the Year for the Northeast Region.
